The 5 Things in Life that are More Valuable than Money - By Shaun Stenning

We hear it said a lot that money can't buy happiness. Of course, we all need money to provide food, clothing, shelter, and life necessities. And having money is better than not having money by almost any measurement. But how much money do we need? How do we know we have enough money? Like a lot of things in personal finance, the answer is different for everyone.

According to Shaun Stenning, “For some, the goal is to become rich. But why? Does being rich bring happiness? When making money is the goal, it often gets in the way of being happy rather than offering joy.”

“I've said it many times that our values should guide our decisions about making money and how we spend money. The time spent on activities that are most important to us.” Shaun Stenning

There is way too much focus on money and material things. So here is my list of 5 More Important Things Than Money

1.  Put your health and wellness above everything else

There is an old saying: “If you don’t have your health you have nothing,” and this is very true.

2.  Take the time to do the things you love

“This may sound cliché, but work less and play more. You will never regret taking a vacation, engaging in a new hobby, or spending a day with those who make you happy.” Shaun Stenning said.

3.  Stop taking life so seriously

Why are you taking life so seriously anyway?

4.  Always say what you need to say

According to Shaun Stenning, If you love someone, tell them. If someone hurts you, tell them. If you have trouble expressing your feelings, then write a letter. Make sure those around you know each and every day how you feel.

6.  Follow your own path—live a life true to you

Stop comparing yourself to others and stop striving for perfection. Stop living a life based on the expectations of others.
